Series 397 is a fuel line/vapor emission hose for refined fuels such as biodiesel (to B100 in dedicated and non-dedicated service), diesel, ethanol and gasoline. The hose incorporates a thermoplastic barrier to resist permeation, and the cover is resistant to abrasion, oil and weathering. The hose is flexible for easy routing in and around small engines and small engine compartments. Series 397 surpasses all of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) stringent permeation requirements of 15g/m2/day, and also provides SAEJ30R7/SAE J30R14T2 performance.
Note: Do not use in marine fuel applications. Refer to Series 7165. Note: The California Air Resource Board (CARB) has revised Small Off-Road Engine (SORE) legislation and now requires all fuel hose manufacturers to resubmit permeation test data for calendar year 2020. The revision restricts the choice of test fuels used to evaluate the permeation of the hose. Starting January 2020, the 397 hose will no longer carry a CARB S.O.R.E. designation. If you require CARB/S.O.R.E. approval, please convert to 389 Series Super-Flex FL-7 hose. It is available in all the same sizes.
